A Beautiful Mind, A Beautiful Life: The Bubz Guide to Being Unstoppable Review

WHOA let me just say, this is a book by someone I’ve been following for who knows how long (like >10 years I think?!). Lindy Tsang was probably the first person I ever watched on YouTube – and when she was first starting out, she was the big sister I needed.

Cut to now, with this book. It’s the first self-help book I think I’ve read, and I wanted to give an honest review.

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I loved this book. It felt like Lindy was just sitting down talking with me, giving me advice, and just telling stories.

Focus on the things you’re about to gain rather than the things you’re about to lose.

It’s insightful, and really doesn’t cut corners. She has a set of “Bubz’s Rules” at the end of every chapter that covers basically the gist of the lesson.

It’s a good book – and absolutely oozes positivity while not glossing over the bad parts in life.

*Note: This book is not a miracle worker. For a person that suffers from anxiety/depression, the advice in this book is not going to cure your illness, and professional help should always be sought.*

But if you’re just a little lost and kinda down on yourself, this book is perfect for you. While it didn’t work any magic in terms of the chemical imbalance in my brain, it did help me at least try and break away from my characteristic pessimism. Which is a big deal itself.

The chapters are a little long, and probably could be better organized (like chronologically), but it doesn’t take away from the message of the book. Again, this is my first self-help book, so I can’t really say much as to whether or not that’s typical.

Lindy really pours her heart and soul in this book, sharing secrets and divulging details.

Honestly, seeing one of my childhood/forever idols come out with a book didn’t make her seem impossibly bigger to me – and that’s a good thing. She seems much more human and imperfectly perfect now. It taught me that if she can do it – I can write a book, too. Watching her vlogs and hearing her talk about how writing was going – to now – we’ve come so far and I know I’ll get there eventually.

Thank you Bubz, and I can’t wait for Book 2!
